After running hugely successful online events and workshops for the last two years, the annual event is back in its normal format, but with lots of fun new additions that will once again light up the cultural scene in London. This popular open studios event is one of the biggest in London, attracting thousands of visitors every year to artist’s studios, houses, businesses and local heritage centres. There will continue to be the incredibly talented artists on an easy to manage, but expansive, trail that will take in over 20 locations across the picturesque and historical village of Carshalton, Carshalton Beeches and Oaks Park.

Carshalton Artists have also teamed up with Sutton Council’s Cultural Services to deliver another significant exhibition of current local artists work at the historic Honeywood Museum. There will also be a once in a lifetime ‘teen CAOS’ exhibition. Local teenagers selected from submissions, receive free mentoring and an exhibition from The Corner Gallery in Carshalton Beeches. To add to this there will also be art and poetry on the streets in collaboration with Sutton Writers and a themed art trail where visitors have the chance to win £100 to spend on an artwork of their choice.

Helena Vaughan, founder of Carshalton Artists and organiser of this year’s Open Studios event “we are so pleased to be delivering the CAOS event once again, as it was intended. The previous two years have been hard and many found our online and ‘Open Streets’ events so uplifting in a time of hardship. But everyone has missed the Open Studios personalities and wonderful studios and so we have worked hard to make it happen like that again.’

If you want to see the amazing cultural talent on display, if you want to be inspired by and create with artists, If you have been missing the personalities and seeing their studios in action...then come and join Carshalton Artists in June and July
